Tuesday 20 May, 2025 – Friday 23 May, 2025

This is a 4 days/3 nights trip to the 1st World War battlefields around Ypres with Anglia Tours. We will depart on Tuesday 20th May and return on Friday 23rd May. The tour is fully guided and on a full board basis. Highlights will include the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate.

We will leave Fetcham/Bookham at about 09.00 for the drive to Dover, ahead of the ferry crossing. Our hotel, the Hotel New Regina, is ideally situated in the Market Square in Ypres. Dinner will be in the hotel that night. Day 2 will include morning and afternoon tours, with a light cafe lunch included. We return to Ypres for a dinner in a local restaurant before attending the Last Post ceremony. On Day 3, we have a full day of tours with a packed lunch included, before returning for dinner at our hotel. On Day 4, we visit Tyne Cot, the largest Commonwealth military cemetery in the world, before making our way to the ferry for the return crossing. A packed lunch is included. 

The cost of the holiday is £629 per person when sharing a room, with a £117 supplement for a single room. The payment schedule is as follows:

• Initial deposit of £50 per person is required by Wednesday 28th August
• Second deposit of £70 per person is required by Wednesday 23rd October
• Final balance is required by Friday 28th February 2025

We have decided to make the initial deposit fully refundable up to the date of the second deposit. After that date, deposits will only be refundable in exceptional circumstances.
