We are a very friendly organisation for those no longer in full time employment.
About Us
Fetcham U3A, founded in 2002, is geared at those who are no longer in full time employment. We are a very friendly organisation with over four hundred members from a wide area around Fetcham, including Ashtead, Bookham, Cobham, Dorking, Epsom and Effingham.
Our main activities centre on Interest Groups, about fifty in total, which are hosted in members’ homes, in halls or outdoors. There are Interest Groups ranging from Ukulele to Croquet, from Canasta to Upwords, and a record number of seven groups for both ‘Explore London Walking’ and ‘Wine Appreciation’.
We hold regular Monthly Meetings (fourth Tuesday of every month except different in December) featuring a guest speaker. Meetings are held in St Mary’s Church Hall. Refreshments are available from 14.00, with the meeting starting at 14.30.
We look forward at welcoming you at one of our Monthly Meetings. Prospective members are very welcome! Committee Members wear badges, so seek one of us out. Please see Our Programme for details of our Monthly Talks and Events.
Our members enjoy our organised outings and holidays, as well as the opportunity to attend Study Days and Summer School, both organised by the regional and national U3A. Join us and make new friends, sign up for several interest groups, go on outings! You will wonder how you ever found time to work!
Fetcham u3a is run by members, for members, and we always love to hear from anyone who can volunteer a little of their time to help us ‘behind the scenes’. It’s a great way to get involved.
