We still have a few place available for our coach trip to ST ALBANS, one of Britain’s most historical cities. You are welcome to invite friends and family. Detailed timings will follow.

St Albans was originally founded as a Celtic settlement before its Roman Conquest, after which it became the Roman city of Verulamium, the third largest town in Roman Britain. It later became known as St Albans because of its association with Saint Alban, Britain’s first saint.

There is lots to see and do here, including: St Albans Cathedral  (free), St Albans School, Museum & Gallery (free), Clock Tower, climb to the top for an amazing view (£2), Verulamium Park, where you can see some Roman remains, Roman Theatre, Guided Walking Tours and Charter Market which is a very colourful, very long street market.

There are also many interesting shops and eating places for lunch.

Brenda is organising a private walking history tour of about 1 hour. (not a long distance) We need a minimum of 8 people. There is a cost of £10 per person. Please let me know if you are interested in this tour and include your £10 with your payment.
