We are a small group of 10 who study the history, landmarks and customs of our great city from the comfort of an armchair.

We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at a member’s house to discuss and hopefully learn about a particular subject or aspect regarding London which has been chosen at a previous meeting. Sometimes a single member makes a presentation or more usually the subject is dealt with by a number of members. There is then a general discussion to amplify or clarify what has been discussed. So far we have covered London Theatres, palaces.markets, railway stations, river crossings and more. Hopefully there is plenty more to explore.

At our December meeting we have a London-based quiz with a glass of wine and nibbles so it is not all serious learning but learning about London in a relaxed way.
